Which Shopify Plan To Choose – Shopify Tutorial

In this post I’m going to show you which Shopify plan (click here for a discounted price) you should choose when starting out.

I know it can be confusing at first because they give you a few options but this post will tell you EXACTLY which one you should pick and why!

Alright so the short answer is that you should go with the one at $29 per month. Why? Because the other ones offers features that are simply not useful if you are just starting out.

As you can see above, the one at $29 per month has a 2.9% transaction fee and the one at $300 has a 2.4% fee. For the amount of money that you are paying, you would have to have about 1000 sales for you to benefit from the $300 plan in terms of money saved with the transaction fees. Trust me, if you are just starting out, you WON’T make over 1000 sales in your first month.

First of all you will have to build your Shopify store. It will take about one week, maybe two if you do this part time. What this means is you would have to make 1000 sales in two weeks…TRUST ME YOU WON’T. And even if you did, you could just  change your plan from the one at $29 to the one at $300, it is super easy to do!

Most people selling e-commerce courses want you to go with the most expensive one because they will make a commission on every Shopify plan they sell….This is why they want you to go with the most expensive! The more money you spend, the money they make.

Again, DON’T overspend when you are just starting out. You want to build your business as lean as possible.

Another thing the other plans offers that the one at $29 doesn’t is more than two staff accounts. A staff account is an account for one of your virtual assistant, that will work inside of your store for you. Again, if you are just starting out, you won’t need to hire someone so it doesn’t matter!

Another thing I always hear these Gurus talk about is the fact that the one at $29 doesn’t offer professional reports. These reports give you insights on where your sales are coming from etc….The truth is with the $29 plan, you WILL get reports, but you will get less reports. However, I haven’t checked my reports before my first store reached 5k per month in sales, because I just didn’t see any reasons to look at them. Trust me, you don’t need these professional reports when starting out.

Look, what I’m trying to say here is you should keep your money for something else, like a high quality upsell app (Click here for the best one) that will increase your revenue on your store. THIS is the kind of stuff you want to spend your money on when you are just starting out.
